If you want to become one of the sons of God spoken of in this discourse and in the Bible, then pray as Jesus taught us to pray. What Jesus taught us is what is commonly known as the Lord’s Prayer, which is as follows:

OUR FATHER WHO ART IN HEAVEN

HALLOWED BE THY NAME

THY KINGDOM COME

THY WILL BE DONE IN EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD

FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US

LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION BUT DELIVER US FROM EVIL

FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM, AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY, FOREVER, AMEN.

Larry Lea gave an excellent teaching on the Lord’s Prayer called “Could You Not Tarry One Hour?”. Anyone who has staked out their faith and walk using Larry Lea’s teaching on the Lord’s Prayer is on solid ground (or solid rock I should say). It is that teaching on prayer from Larry Lea—which I cut my spiritual teeth on—which I have adopted, based, and developed my teaching on the Lord’s Prayer, which is as follows:

If you want to spend an hour or so in daily prayer, to recite the Lord’s Prayer takes less than a minute, so what's a person to do, recite the Lord’s Prayer over and over like a parrot for an hour? No, remember what Jesus said:

"But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking."

So forget the vain repetitions. The Lord’s Prayer is an outline for prayer. In the  following “Lord’s Prayer outline”, you will find Scriptures and truths which speak to the theme of each verse of the Lord’s Prayer. 

If you take the time and discipline in a daily time of prayer and worship and partake of the words in the following Lord’s Prayer outline, if you eat these words from the Bible and make them part of your being, part of your spiritual house, then it will be to your benefit greatly, both now and forever more. For example, as you recite with your tongue and with your faith the following:

• Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your sins and heals all your sickness and disease, who redeems your life from the pit, who surrounds you with love and kindness, who satisfies your soul with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

• Blessed be the LORD, day by day He bears our burdens, even the God who is our salvation. God is unto us a God of deliverances, the LORD delivers us from death.

Then as those and the other Scriptures in the Lord’s Prayer outline on my website become imprinted on your heart and engraved upon your soul and permeate the spiritual atmosphere around you because you have methodically and faithfully and relentlessly seeded the spiritual atmosphere around you with these very words you speak forth in faith, then you will be building your house upon the solid rock of Jesus Christ and walking in divine protection and divine health you will be, for the powerful angels of PSALM 103:20 who hearken unto the spoken word of God will enforce the words you have spoken forth in faith. And in the process, you’ll become an active participant in the advancement of the kingdom of God. So c’mon you sons of God, come and recite daily the words in the Lord’s Prayer outline on my website, causing you to swell up with thanksgiving and praise from the deepest depths of your soul and experience the grace and peace of God in unlimited measure both now and forever more! If your soul’s sole aim is the kingdom of God, then you will have the kinetic energy in the spiritual realm to take the kingdom of God by force and manifest in the physical world that which you have first crafted in the spiritual world with your tongue and with your faith.

You who believe have great leverage for eternity right now, while you’re still here on earth. The Bible tells us it is impossible to please God without faith that He exists and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We who believe won’t have the chance to please God with the faith that He exists without seeing Him when we get to heaven because of course when get to heaven, God will be right there before our very eyes. So while you’re here on earth right now, when you can’t see Him with your physical eyes, you sons of God have the incredible opportunity right here and right now, especially in this, the final generation, to greatly leverage your faith in God and catapult yourself with great leverage into the eternal kingdom of God and reap all the infinite benefits that come with that. God hands out eternal rewards to the souls that chase after Him. So c’mon you sons of God, let your soul’s sole aim be the kingdom of God and it will be to your great benefit both now and forever more and the laughter of your joy will echo throughout eternity! At the Second Coming, when we who believe are caught up in the clouds to meet Jesus, we will be in a dream-like state and our mouths will be filled with laughter and our tongues will be filled with singing! 

So c’mon you sons of God, let’s get started building your spiritual house, recite the words in the following Lord's Prayer outline daily:

If you recite this Lord’s Prayer outline daily (or make your own outline using this one as a guide), if you dedicate yourself wholeheartedly to spending quality time with the LORD in this way, praising the LORD like David did, praying like Jesus taught us to pray, then when you worship the LORD for the great blessings in the word of God, such as the forgiveness of all your sins, eternal life, divine protection, divine health, the promise of success, and all the other blessings and promises in the Bible, you are confessing and confirming what the LORD means to you and solidifying and cementing these things in your life and building up your faith as you proceed along the pathway to mount Zion and powerful angels who hearken unto the word of God are charged to perform those very things you speak forth in faith. So come you sons of God, dedicate yourselves to prayer and joy will swell up in you along with peace and love and patience and all the fruits of the Spirit. And you will begin to hear the small still voice of God when you seek to listen for Him in your quiet time of prayer. And you will learn how to be led by the Holy Spirit, for the sons of God are those led by the Spirit:

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Dedicated prayer puts the Holy Spirit in control of your life. Throughout the rest of the day and night, you will have the sweet anointing of the Holy Spirit and the skillful orchestration of the Holy Spirit will help you and guide you in all your activities and endeavors. Dedicated prayer brings you to the fountain from which all your blessings flow, the never ending flow of grace and peace, living water, from the throne of God. So seek this time of prayer with the LORD everyday child of God and let it become precious to you.
