6 Sigh therefore, thou son of man, with the breaking of thy loins; and with bitterness sigh before their eyes.
7 And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord God.
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The LORD is calling for a sword to come down upon all the inhabitants of the earth! It is a sword for slaughter, a very great slaughter! A slaughter such as the world has never seen before or will ever see again! The Most High is coming to shake the heavens and the earth! A lion has left his lair, a destroyer of nations has set out!
"For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of hosts."
So that hearts may melt and the fallen be many, the exceedingly huge, glistening, polished and sharpened sword—polished to flash like lightning and sharpened for the slaughter—will be stationed at all the gates of all the cities upon the earth. The sword will not rest until it has devoured, until it is satisfied, until it has quenched its thirst with blood.
The great tribulation period consists of the three WOEs spoken of in the Book of Revelation in REV 8:13. There are 7 trumpets in the Book of Revelation. The three WOEs that will be inflicted upon mankind correspond with trumpets 5, 6, and 7. The first WOE is the 5th trumpet. The second WOE is the 6th trumpet. And the third WOE is the 7th trumpet. Before the three WOEs are over, there will be so many bodies piled high that they will be too many to count! People will stumble over the bodies, lying in the streets like garbage, with no one to bury them (ISAIAH 5:25, 34:3, JER 9:22)! Great and terrible will be the day of the LORD! Who will survive it?!
The first WOE kicks off the tribulation period in a more than spectacular fashion, in an unprecedented fashion. The first WOE introduces to the world the army of the LORD, the locust army of JOEL 2 and REV 9, and their commander-in-chief, their king, the strong one who executes the word of God in JOEL 2:11, the destroyer of nations, Abaddon. The Most High will give to Abaddon or the Destroyer the key to the bottomless pit and when he opens it, smoke will arise from the pit and darken the skies and locusts will come down out of the smoke and torment mankind for five months in the first WOE. Here is the first WOE in its entirety:
Abaddon (which means Destroyer) in verse 11 above is the lion that comes up from the thickets, the “destroyer of the Gentiles” in verse 7 below:
The army of the LORD (the locust army in JOEL 2 and REV 9) and the destroyer of the nations in JER 4:7 and REV 9:11 (the strong one who executes the word of the God in JOEL 2:11), will kick off the tribulation period in mind-blowing fashion. Notice the appearance of the locusts in Revelation, they look like horses:
"And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men."
This is in symphony with and in concert with what the prophet JOEL said here:
"The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run."
Let there be no mistake about it, the army in JOEL 2 and REV 9 is the more than awesome army of the LORD of hosts. In the first WOE, God will cause death to flee from those unfortunate souls who are stung with the scorpion-like tails of the locust army that will come down out of the smoke that will arise from the bottomless pit once Abaddon opens it with the key given to him by God. Those who are stung by the locust army will suffer excruciating and unbearable pain for the five months of the first WOE, so much so that they will want to kill themselves. But lo and behold, death will flee from them. God will not allow them to die. They will be made to suffer immensely and intensely for 150 agonizing days in the first WOE.
NOTE: months in Bible prophecies are exactly 30 days, so 5 months is exactly 150 days.
While no one will die in the first WOE, millions and billions will die in the second and third WOEs. There are currently four angels bound at the Euphrates River who will be loosed during the second WOE in order to kill a third of mankind.
Before the WOES begin, God will mark those that belong to Him, those that dwell upon the holy mount of Zion, those sealed by the Holy Spirit. They are characterized by the Hebrew prophet Ezekiel as those being troubled by what they see in society (see verse 4 below). In the 9th chapter of the Book of Ezekiel, a man clothed in linen with a writers inkhorn (who is the key figure in the end times as you will see by the time you get to the end of this chapter) is instructed by the LORD to put a mark upon the foreheads (sound familiar?) of those that belong to Him before the death and destruction begins:
The mark upon the foreheads in verse 4 above is the seal of God on the foreheads spoken of by John the Revelator here in verse 4 below:
So before the WOES begin, the LORD will make a distinction between the wicked and the righteous before the sword comes down from heaven. After the man clothed in linen in EZEK 9 marks those that belong to the Most High, the bottomless pit will be opened and the tribulation period will begin. And it will be first things first, the first WOE will be visited upon mankind. The army of the LORD and the Destroyer (or Abaddon) will torment mankind for the 150 agonizing days of the first WOE. Mankind has never seen anything like it before nor will mankind ever see anything like it again. After the tortuous 150 days of the first WOE, the 1260 days of the second WOE will commence. The second WOE consists of the 1260 days of the two witnesses or two olive trees in REV 11 and ZECH 4. Coinciding with the 1260 days of the two witnesses will be the 1260 days of authority and power given unto the beast of Revelation, or the one commonly known as the Antichrist, or Daniel’s little horn that waxes great. So understand that the Antichrist doesn’t show up on the scene until the sackcloth ministry of the two witnesses in the second WOE in REV 11. Since the destiny and purpose of the Antichrist is to come up out of the bottomless pit and go to his destruction, then the Antichrist doesn’t, and can’t, come up out of the bottomless pit and go to his destruction until the bottomless pit is first opened up by the Destroyer in REV 9:1-2. So then, understand that the nightmarish scenario of the first WOE will come and go before the Antichrist comes upon the scene during the second WOE.
Abaddon and the army of the LORD will only just be getting warmed up in the first WOE. After all, for all its graphic gore and agony, no one gets destroyed in the first WOE. It is in the second WOE that the Destroyer will live up to his name. In the second WOE, the LORD will draw forth the sword out of His sheath, never to return again, and use it against all flesh. The sword will be visited upon all the nations of the earth in God’s fierce wrath. Without pity, the sword will fall upon men and women alike, and upon the old and young alike, but the sword will not come near anyone with the mark of God on their foreheads:
So after marking those that that belong to Him, the LORD will introduce to the world His army and their leader, the destroyer of REV 9:11, the mighty one who executes the word of the LORD in JOEL 2:11, the lion in JER 4:7, the destroyer of nations. This destroyer of nations is the lion of wrath in JER 25:30-31 and the lion that comes up from the thickets of the Jordan in JER 49:19 and JER 50:44. He is the personification of, and the executor of, the LORDs fierce wrath during the first two WOES of the end times. And lo and behold, he is also the shepherd that will stand before the LORD, the chosen one, the appointed and anointed one of the Most High. He holds the plummet line of the Most High and will build the house of God before the WOEs start in these end times we find ourselves living in. He is one of the two witnesses, one of the two olive trees who stand before the LORD in REV 11 and ZECH 4, specifically, the olive tree represented in Scripture by Zerubbabel, the man child of REV 12, the one like a “son of man” in DAN 7. By the time you get to the end of this chapter, you will see that plainly and understand it fully and be fully convinced of it, for it’s all right there in the Bible, hidden in plain sight.
The mystery of God in REV 10:7 is this: not only will the Destroyer of REV 9:11 perform the LORD’s pleasure on Babylon in the first and second WOEs, but before that, he will build the house of God and the end time harvest will be reaped and after Jesus returns, he will inherit all the nations of this earth for the thousand years of the Millennial Reign and then inherit all the nations of the new earth in kingdom come, for he is the one the LORD loves in ISAIAH 48:14-15, the man child of REV 12:5, the chosen one of DAN 7:14, the signet ring of the Most High. He is represented in Scripture by Zerubbabel, who is one of the two olive trees who stand before the LORD in REV 11 and ZECH 4, the two prophets who will torment those who dwell upon the earth, so much so that the nations of the earth will celebrate the death of the two who are one in the original Greek text of John the Revelator in REV 11:8.
After the two witnesses have finished their testimony in their 1260 day sackcloth ministry, the beast that comes up from the bottomless pit (the Antichrist) will overpower and kill them. But lo and behold, God will resurrect them and the two who are one will ascend into heaven at the completion of the second WOE:
11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. 13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven. 14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly. ---REVELATION 11:11-14
It is exactly at that point, at the conclusion of the second WOE, when the third WOE (the Second Coming) is imminent, that the mystery of God will be completed.
The great tribulation period spoken of in the Bible is directly ahead of us. The LORD has a day of vengeance to be visited upon Babylon. When the army of the LORD rides, even the Devils hands will hang limp in fear (see the king of Babylon in JER 50:43).
Hear ye the word of the LORD:
We are about to enter the time period Jesus warned us about, the time hell will enlarge itself for. The LORD is coming to destroy the sinners on earth, to utterly destroy Babylon. He will shake the heavens and the earth in His fierce wrath.
